Revisiting Germany due to a request from a roofing material processing and sales company in Germany (Mayen)
|
A piece I made for a symposium in Mayen in the summer of 2003 will be installed in the town's hospital.
Also, the company that provided the stone, Rathscheck, asked me to make a repeat piece for installation in their company, so I returned to Mayen!

"TAOYAKANA KAMINO SIZUKU" (Collaboration Exhibition)
*short hour exhibition
SA-RA-SHA(dance studio),Mitaka,Tokyo
Viewing of the exhibition : 15:00-16:30
Indian dance performance starts at 17:30
|
A half-day exhibition collaboration with Japanese Indian dancer (Mohiniattam) Hiromi Maruhashi at a dance studio called SA-RA-SHA in Mitaka,Tokyo.
Before the preparation for the dance begins, the exhibition could be viewed for a short time.
Cloth, marble, and other materials were used as spatial design and installation.
|
For a dancer, the body, and for an artist, the work of art, are both vessels that receive the soul's desires.
We will explore how these two vessels resonate with each other in the same space and what is born,
with the theme of "femininity".
In classical Indian dance, women express their wholehearted, devoted love for God,
while in contemporary art, on the other hand, they are free to express feminine eroticism.
However, we believe that at the end of both forms of expression lies essential femininity,
and the existence of the divine within.
We would like to develop this work based on this idea.
